about

This song is about never amounting to anything; At least not yet anyways.
This song is also HEAVILY inspired by Pulley.

lyrics

In my face, in my face
Treating me like a disgrace
Knowing good and well it's not your place
Will you please give me my space
I'm not like you; it's not a race
I'm living life at My Own Pace

As a kid my biggest fear
Was when my Dad said "Bud, come here"
He was annoyed and disappointed, I could tell
Not one thing I hated more than walking through that kitchen door
And Walking out 10 minutes later put through hell

He asked me what I wanna do
If truth be told, play PS2
But if I said that it would not go over well
But now I'm an adult
And held no longer to a fault
Because at least I'm not inside a prison cell

Cuz all the time I thought I'd be homeless tomorrow
If I even so much as stepped out of line
Well I'm that guy who has to ask the question Why
Instead of celebrating that I'm still Alive
You point your finger in my face

In my face
Treating me like a disgrace
Knowing good and well it's not your place
Will you please give me my space
I'm not like you; it's not a race
I'm living life at My Own Pace

I've always found it odd
When people act as if it's God
Who is to blame for circumstantial success
Where I see myself in years
Is not the business of my peers
Don't give a fuck if they all think it's not the best

I'm always pressin' on
And I'll continue til I'm gone
despite if everybody else is unimpressed
I'm just a simple man
I've got no genius master plan
And that is something I can fearlessly confess

Cuz all the time I thought I'd be homeless tomorrow
If I even so much as stepped out of line
Well I'm that guy who has to ask the question Why
Instead of celebrating that I'm still Alive
You point your finger in my face

In my face
Treating me like a disgrace
Knowing good and well it's not your place
Will you please give me my space
I'm not like you; it's not a race
I'm living life at My Own Pace
